Plain Ol’ Hamburgers
Jun 14, 2021In addition to convincing you that you don’t need to have a party in your mouth with every meal, I also want to take this recipe as a way to get on my soap box about KISS: KEEP IT SIMPLE SWEETHEART. You don’t even have to go out and buy a cookbook to make this dinner!
Ingredients
1 pound of ground meat of your choice. Last night we used 85% beef.
8 ounces of mushrooms, sliced or left as buttons if they are small
1 large sweet onion, sliced into “wings”
2 TBS butter mixed with 2 TBS olive or avocado oil
Salt and pepper
Directions
-
Shape the meat into four patties.
-
Salt and pepper both sides. (You can use onion or garlic salt instead of plain salt for a little more kick.)
-
Slice onions and mushrooms. Put in the melted butter and oil. Add salt and pepper.
-
Fry it all to your liking: rare to well-done on the burgers; just softened to crispy on the vegetables.
